The sitting room is open through the old beams to the kitchen, which is fully equipped for a self-catered stay, with a dishwasher, induction hob, fan oven, microwave, toaster and kettle etc. A small round table and two chairs are situated in the window, looking out onto a flower border and active bird table. Tea, ground coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and olive oil are provided. Shared use of the owners’ washing machine, clothes line and freezer.
There is a modern shower room with dual flush lavatory, wash basin, long mirror and shaver point. Both the kitchen and shower room have locally made terracotta floors.
Up the 6 alternating paddle tread stairs to a carpeted, mezzanine floor with very comfortable vi-sprung zip-lock beds, arranged and made up as a double or 2 singles by request. The duvets are of a combination type. Towels are provided. Cupboard space with light in bedroom and outside store room.
The property is well insulated and has thermostatically controlled heating system.
There is a small table and 2 chairs outside the entrance door and use of a stone table in a bricked sitting area nearby. A short walk away through the nut platt is a private, secluded garden, with summer house exclusively for the Potting Shed residents.
All the cleaning and washing is done using washing soda, vinegar, bicarb or Ecover products which are provided.
A guided tour of the Molesworth’s topiary garden created over the last 30 years can be arranged.
Home made organic bread, marmalade, home grown, organic seasonal vegetables and eggs are sometimes available.
